The 22-year-old soccer player from Ecuador, Marco Angulo, died from his injuries after a car accident that happened early last month.

The young midfielder was a passenger in a car involved in a collision in the early hours of October 7.

Marco Angulo is dead

The driver, fellow soccer player Roberto Cabezas, died in the crash. Angulo was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery to release pressure from the trauma.

Conformable The Athleticthe young man was one of five people in the car that crashed into a metal structure in Ecuador’s capital, Quito. Other passengers in the car included a defender for Independiente Juniors and Victor Charcopa Nazareno, both of whom died.

“With deep pain and sadness, we regret to report the death of our beloved player Marco Angulo,” LDU Quito said in a statement this morning.

“Our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones.”

“His passing is an irreparable loss that will leave an indelible mark on our hearts. Rest in peace.”

The former Premier League star has died

TUKO.co.ke reported earlier that the former Premier League star Geroge Baldock was found dead in a swimming pool.

The 31-year-old played for Sheffield United and made 83 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals.

Former Man City manager Sven Goran Eriksson has died
