CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A suspicious bag investigation in Over-the-Rhine prompted Cincinnati police to evacuate four buildings and close several streets as a precaution Monday night.

Officers blocked off Vine Street between 12th and 14th streets and Race and Walnut streets shortly after 6:30 p.m.

The Cincinnati Fire Department bomb squad responded.

Their robot detected what appeared to be threads inside the bag, which raised the issue, police told FOX19 NOW.

They water cannoned the bag, police say, and found it filled with non-threatening items such as USB cables.
