JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The Jackson Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and shooting in the parking lot of a business.

It happened Monday on East County Line Road near the Burlington Garment Factory.

Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers told WLBT 3 On Your Side the victim was shot in the chest and ran to the nearby KFC in Ridgeland.

The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

Once on scene, WLBT crews saw multiple carcasses and cars with bullet holes.
