It’s another near-record day in Houston

Today’s forecast:

HOUSTON – Today will be similar to what we saw on Monday. We’ll start out cool and comfortable in the 60s. Temperatures will quickly warm into the 80s in the afternoon with sunny skies. The humidity will still be low, keeping us comfortable.

Cold front on Wednesday:

It was an unusually warm autumn. In October, temperatures were nearly 4° above average, and so far in November, we’ve seen almost every day but one in the mid to upper 80s. This is far from common, as our average high for this time of year is in the mid 70s.

Change is coming Wednesday, but like the fronts we’ve seen this fall, temperatures won’t drop dramatically. The front will move through on Wednesday evening so we will be very hot and humid before the front arrives.

We’ll see a brief cooldown Thursday and Friday behind the front, perfect for the Nutcracker Market!

10 day forecast:

You’ll notice that the 10-day forecast remains warm overall. We will see a brief cooling on Thursday and Friday, but for most of the week, highs will remain in the 80s. However, I want to draw your attention to next Wednesday. We could get our first cold air of the season.
