LEGAZPI CITY — A nearly week-long police operation in Bicol region led to the arrest of 40 drug suspects and the seizure of almost £3m of illegal drugs.

Between November 4 and 10, authorities seized 429.059 grams of shabu in 26 anti-drug operations in six provinces and one city, a Bicol police report said on Tuesday, November 12.

Albay had the largest shipment, valued at 1.25 million lei, followed by Masbate with 768,400 lei. Other seizures occurred in Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Naga City and Sorsogon.

Bicol police chief Brigadier General Andre Dizon said additional operations this month will target drug suppliers.
