MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Officers were notified Nov. 3 that three men were knocking on doors on Mayfair Avenue, looking to bust a sexual predator.

They located the men, who shared a story and evidence that the suspect was having sexually explicit conversations with one of them, believing he was communicating with a 15-year-old boy. Evidence suggested the suspect wanted to meet for sex.

The men believed the suspect, a 38-year-old man, lived in an apartment in the area and worked at two businesses in town. Police confirmed the suspect was the resident the men were looking for.

The case was handed over to the prosecutor for further investigation.
