A Comstock man has been arrested in a human trafficking operation

MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — A Comstock man was arrested Friday in a multi-agency human trafficking/extortion operation in Rogers Heights, Mecosta Township.

The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, which hosted the operation, identified the man as 53-year-old Erik Lundquist. He was arrested for soliciting and approaching a minor (under 16 years of age) and OWI.

A 48-year-old Grand Rapids man was also arrested for solicitation/prostitution (persons 18 and older). He is awaiting arraignment.

The sheriff’s office said adults posing as children served as decoys in the operation, reiterating that no children were involved or injured.

In total, the task force consisted of the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office, the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: Michigan, the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, the Ferris State University Department and the City of Mt. Pleasant Public Safety.
