MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – A collision left one person dead and three injured in Hart County over the weekend.

Shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday, Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in the area of ​​3770 Priceville Road, according to a news release.

The investigation found that a 2014 Ford Fusion operated by Mikhaela Kostas, 24, of Versailles, was traveling eastbound on Priceville Road when she attempted to pass other vehicles in the westbound lane. The vehicle then collided with a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

Kostas was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the Silverado, a juvenile, and two juvenile passengers were transported to Baptist Health in Elizabethtown for non-life threatening injuries.

Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, Hart County Fire Departments and the Hart County Coroner’s Office.
