Jennifer Garner says she never ate processed food growing up

Jennifer Garner had a junk food free childhood.

The actress told Molly Sims about how she feeds her children compared to how she ate as a child.

PEOPLE has a early look at November 12th episode of The Sims Podcast Lipstick on the edgewho recently joined the global podcast division of Sony Music Entertainment.

While Garner frequently cooks ground turkey burritos and buttered noodles, she said she avoids keeping processed foods in her pantry out of habit since she was young.

“We didn’t have any processed food at all. Not that my mother thought so. It was expensive. She said her mother was happy to see her childhood home used: “Of anything I’ve ever done, that means the most to my mom — that her farm is brought back to life and growing baby things. It’s just the coolest,” Garner told PEOPLE in 2020.

On Sunday, November 10, Garner posted a sweet photo on Instagram hers holding hands with her mother and sister, Melissa Lynn Garner, as they went for a walk in her home state of West Virginia. The touching photo comes seven months after the death of Jennifer’s father, William John Garner.
