According to the latest updates from Buckingham PalaceThe 77-year-old is following doctors’ advice to ensure a full recovery from her seasonal chest infection, including missing royal events including Remembrance Sunday.

The palace stressed that this is a precautionary measure for her recovery and to protect others from any potential risk.

Although her condition does not appear serious, it was significant enough to justify missing these important events, which is “a source of great disappointment to the Queen”.

“It apologizes to anyone who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”
