Two people were arrested after allegedly stealing alcohol from two stores in Toledo on Monday

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Two people were arrested after police say they robbed two stores in Toledo early Monday morning.

On Nov. 11 at approximately 1:05 a.m., Toledo Police officers were dispatched to the Stop & Go located at 429 W. Alexis Road for reports of a robbery.

When officers arrived, a store clerk told them that a black woman and a white man had stolen an unknown amount of beer and wine. Officers were also told the woman allegedly threatened the clerk with a knife before leaving with the man in a gray or silver vehicle heading south on Bennett.

Around 1:10 a.m., police received information about another robbery that had occurred at the Circle K located at 5342 Lewis Ave. Officers on the scene were also told by a store clerk that a black woman and a white man were stealing beer products and the woman allegedly threatened to stab the clerk.

TPD says as the suspects were leaving, they dumped the stolen items and headed south on Lewis Ave.

No one was injured in either robbery.

A short time later, officers located a vehicle, matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle, at the Relax Inn located at 5600 Telegraph Road.

According to TPD, vehicle surveillance and a specific room were set up. Police then forced their way into the room and took Angela Bowman, 37, and Thomas Kiker, 30, into custody. Both were charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
