South Africa Police Service crack down on criminals before they can carry out their plans.

last weekend, the lawmen caught 10 suspects who planned to rob a series of gas stations.

The men were arrested in the northwest but planned to target businesses in Warrenton, Northern Cape.

Men arrested with burglary equipment

According to police, the men were arrested at a home in Christiana where they were planning their next murders.

They were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, as well as suspected housebreaking equipment.

“The 10 suspects, aged between 40 and 65, are believed to be from the East Rand in Gauteng,” Northern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Cherelle Ehlers said.

In addition to the amendments of possession of a firearm and ammunition without a license and possession of suspected housebreaking equipment, they are also charged with violation of the Immigration Act.

Public cooperation is vital to an arrest

Praising the work done by law enforcement authorities, Northern Cape Commissioner Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola paid tribute to the public.

Otola noted that the operation demonstrated how public cooperation and information sharing helped law enforcement officers stop the perpetrators’ plans before they could execute them.
