According to the police, a 57-year-old businessman lives with his family, including his 23-year-old daughter, at Venkateshwar Colony, Saroornagar.

The suspect, Balwinder Singh, 25, had been friends with the woman for the past few years. When he came to know about it, the woman’s father asked Balwinder Singh not to meet her.

While Balwinder continuously tried to meet the woman and talk on the phone, the woman was sent to the United States by her father. On learning about this, Balwinder Singh went to the woman’s house and called her father.

When the man came out, Balwinder pulled out an air gun and shot him, causing an eye injury. The intelligence police reached the spot and arrested Balwinder Singh.
