“Officers will be out this evening across New Ferry and into Rock Ferry to ensure there is a highly visible police presence, to secure communities and deal swiftly with anyone we suspect of intent to commit crime. The Section 60 order gives officers on the ground the ability to stop and search people suspected of carrying weapons or planning any crime.

“We will always look to take positive action when we have information about people storing, carrying or using weapons. So if you want to help us prevent our young people becoming victims of knife crime, give us your information and we’ll do the rest.”
