Trainwrecks claims Twitch “targeted” him with a ban during his Rust event

Trainwreck was running a Rust event when it was banned from Twitch for 3 days, with the platform claiming it was banned for “spam” and that it was using Twitch to redirect users to other sites.

The event has users fighting for an extremely rare weapon, a blue gem AK-47 modeled after the incredibly rare CS2 Toughened AK leather worth over a million dollars. The event was set to run from November 8-18 and was themed around his own custom skin.

However, with Trainwrecks being slapped with a 3-day ban from the platform, it essentially shut things down. As a result of the ban, any Twitch streamer who features him on their show will also be banned.

The email Train received from Twitch claimed it was banned for “User Spam”, the most relevant clause to it being about redirecting users to another service. It reads as follows:

“Directing users to a live stream or other service through links in your Twitch stream, such as overlays, QR codes, broadcast titles, and live notifications,” the message reads, making any reference to the streamer which withdraws its broadcast. by Twitch and Kick could be cited as the reason for his ban.

However, it all depends on Twitch’s interpretation and enforcement of its own rules, and the platform also allows for multi-streaming.

“I know it’s targeted because I know my accounts, it’s not an automatic ban,” Train he claimed on his Kick stream.

“It just makes me so sick. What are the odds? I was second on the entire platform for 16 hours straight and today is the day he bans me. I’ve had that title for the past 2 years,” he said of having the Kick stream in his Twitch title.

That being said, Twitch is known for being inconsistent with their prohibitionsand there are other huge Kick streamers like xQc that also stream between both platforms.
