Skipper Brian Robinson Jr.’s injury recovery isn’t going according to plan

The Commanders from Washington enjoyed a good start to the 2024 NFL season with them 7-2 record from the first nine games, leaving them here first place in the NFC East at the time of writing.

Brian Robinson key to Chiefs strong start

Running back Brian Robinson Jr. was one of the team’s most impressive performers so far, posting 461 rushing yards and a career-high (already) six touchdowns in seven appearances. But his momentum has been and will continue to be disrupted.

The 25-year-old didn’t play in the Chiefs’ win over the New York Giants last weekend because of it a hamstring injury, although it had been hoped that he would be available to return in action for Sunday week 10 clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Northwest Stadium in Maryland (1 p.m. ET).

Will Brian Robinson Jr. play for the Commanders against the Steelrs in Week 10?

This, however, will not be the case as Robinson has not been able to recover as quickly as anticipated. The runner was limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, but instead of stepping things up on Friday, he he was not involved at all.

As a result, he, along with cornerback Marshon Lattimore, were ejected from the Steelers game, a considerable blow to Washington and head coach Dan Quinn. Especially considering the opponent.

Pittsburgh started the season in good form, winning six and losing two of their first eight games. to sit atop the AFC North. Like the Chiefs, the Steelers are riding a three-game winning streak, so something will have to give in Maryland.
