Solo Leveling -Rewakening- releases a fast paced new trailer

It’s hard to argue that Solo leveling didn’t become one of the biggest new anime arrivals of 2024. The first twelve episodes of season one gave anime fans an engaging story with a world quite similar to our own without much warning. Jinwoo Sung’s world is one that sees hunters and supernatural gates that pose deadly challenges to the mundane world, but the anime protagonist has an unexpected step in his life. While Jinwoo was originally considered the world’s worst hunter, a life-or-death scenario gave him power that could make him one of the world’s best. As season two approaches, the WEBTOON anime adaptation has a new trailer to get fans excited about.

Solo levelingfor those who may not be familiar, it first hit the scene as a South Korean WEBTOON in 2016following its protagonist as he tries to make a living as a hunter. Even though he was considered the worst hunter, there were still some interesting routes that Sung would take in terms of bringing home the bacon. When a mission goes wrong in a gate, Jinwoo is given the power to level up thanks to a mysterious game called “The System”. While still trying to “hide his true power level”, Jinwoo now has many new doors to open before him.

Solo Leveling’s New trailer

Solo Leveling -Awakening- follow in his footsteps Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Trainingand Dandadan: First Date in that it is a compilation film. Instead of weaving a whole new story for Jinwoo independent of the anime series, like Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, -Awakening- it will be a recap of the first season along with the first two episodes of the second season. If you want to catch this one in theaters, you’re in luck.

The film will arrive in South Korea and Japan later this month on November 28th and 29th respectively. Fortunately for fans of Western anime, Solo leveling the film has confirmed that it will receive a limited run on the silver screen in North America. Anime fans will have the opportunity to catch this film in theaters on December 6 in the West, giving viewers a sneak peak at season two. For those waiting for season two to officially arrive on the small screen, Solo leveling will return in January 2025.

Where did I leave Jinwoo?

Despite Jinwoo’s upgrade into Solo Leveling’s first season, it wasn’t an easy road for the protagonist who once held the title of World’s Worst Hunter. In an attempt to take care of his family financially and deal with a terminally ill mother who is barely clinging to life, the anime hero takes on a task that could prove to be be his destruction. With a mysterious new tower to overcome, “The System” told Sung that if he could defeat this new challenge before him, he would be granted an elixir that could cure all evil. Of course, this works perfectly in terms of saving his mother.

By defeating his strongest opponent yet, the red-blooded Commander Igris, Jinwoo was given the opportunity to not only level up in a significant way, but also choose a new class. The closing moments of the season one finale see the anime hero become a necromancer, granting him power over the dead and a level of sorcery that was absent before. While this may not mean victory is assured, Sung is easily on his way to becoming one of the strongest hunters in the world.
