VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – The family of 20-year-old Amarius Shiver is holding a balloon release and candlelight vigil for him on Saturday, November 9th.

The balloon release will take place at 16:30. Speakers will talk about gun violence during the event.

WALB previously reported that Shiver was accidentally killed in Valdosta on Monday, November 4thafter a group of dozens were allegedly playing with a gun when it discharged and hit him.
