His vehicle was said to have been involved in an accident and needed to be towed.

When the man returned to his block, another man dressed in black attacked him from behind.

“My glasses flew off,” he said. “I hit my head on the ground and faded a little bit and got bruises and bumps and scrapes.”

He said the apartment manager chased the attacker down the alley.

During the attack, the victim’s wallet fell to the ground.

Then the situation got even worse.

“Another lady pulled up in a black SUV and asked if I needed help,” the man said. “I said, ‘Yeah, call 911.’ Instead of calling 911, he started taking money from where I was laying and then he left.”

He lost hundreds of dollars during the robbery.

None of the people involved was caught.

“Eventually I will forgive them,” the victim said. “But yes, they must be prosecuted.”

He believes he was targeted.

“It was a coincidence that they knew my number, where I parked, what kind of car I parked, where I live and especially what time I left work,” he said. “Not many people know about this program.”

But he said the worst part of this attack is not the physical injuries, but the mental terror he has to recover from.

“You know, it’s more of a traumatic experience,” he said. “Like mentally, you’re always keeping your head on a pivot now.”
