Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs asks for bail, says new evidence shows ‘not weird sex, but complex…’

Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a new bail application, arguing that changed circumstances and new evidence warrant his release ahead of his trial in May. The hip-hop mogul, who has been held in a federal detention facility in Brooklyn since his arrest in September, faces serious racketeering and sex-trafficking conspiracy charges.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, American rapper and music mogulfaces serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. A 14-page federal indictment details the troubling allegations against him, focusing on controversial “crazies” that prosecutors allege were part of a criminal “enterprise.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ CombsThe legal team argues that the current evidence does not support the government’s case and is proposing a more comprehensive bail package that would allow him to prepare for trial outside of prison.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing serious charges

Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, has pleaded not guilty to charges that he coerced and abused women for years with the assistance of a network of associates and employees.

The indictment accuses him of using blackmail, violence and intimidation, including kidnappings, arson and physical beatings, to silence his victims.

The charges come after a months-long investigation, prosecutors say Combs ran a long-running sex-trafficking operation. The indictment describes gatherings involving a woman and a male prostitute in a luxury hotel suite rigged for filming with baby oil and drugs. These sessions, known as “crazies”, sometimes lasted for days and included a cleanup crew.

Prosecutors describe the phenomena as “elaborate and manufactured sexual performances” characterized by heavy drug use and forced sex, with participants requiring IV fluids to recover afterwards.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is making a bail application based on new evidence

In a court filing Friday, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs The legal team argued that his circumstances had changed since his previous bail applications were rejected by two judges.

They point to new evidence they say undermines the government’s case.

Specifically, the defense team argues that a 2016 video of Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend does not support the claim of a forced sexual encounter.

The prosecution’s indictment describes the video as part of a “hope”—a sexually charged event said to be driven by compulsion. However, Combs’ lawyers say the video captures a “minute-long glimpse into a complex but decade-long consensual relationship” between the two.

The defense is proposing a “much more robust” bail package this time, which would include strict, round-the-clock monitoring and severe limitations on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs the ability to contact anyone but his legal team.

The proposed bail remains at $50 million, which was previously suggested in previous filings.

In their new court filing, Combs’ attorneys cite new evidence “making clear that the government’s case is weak.”

Conditions of Sean “Diddy” Combs at the Metropolitan Detention Center

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lThe equal team also claims that the current conditions of detention at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn violate his constitutional rights.

They claim that the conditions prevent him from adequately preparing for his defense and participating in the legal proceedings against him.
