Voting for FHC Public Servants of the Year is open

KINGSTON, Jamaica — First Heritage Co-operative Credit Union (FHC), in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Public Service and the Government Public Service Week Committee, invites the public to vote for their favorite public servant for FHC’s FHC Public Servants. Year Awards People’s Choice category.

Voting is now open on the website of the ministry.

This marks the 18th running of the FHC Civil Servant Awards to highlight the work of three government stars in the technical support, middle management and management categories.

The 2024 nominees in the technical assistance category are Ministry of Health and Welfare Psychiatric Care Assistant Jeron Bonsfeather; Ministry of Education and Youth Records Officer, Paulette Lewis; Department of Homeland Security Companion Dennis Brown; and Jamaica Institute Desk Agent/Messenger Jennifer Edwards.

In the mid-managerial category, the shortlisted nominees are Veronica Miller Richards, regional health records administrator for the Ministry of Health and Welfare; Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Growth and Jobs, Kerry-Ann Wilson; Verification Officer of the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Cindy Archat; and Statistical Institute of Jamaica Field Supervisor Barbara Riley-Williams.

Jamaica Information Services Manager for IT Services, Andre Allen; Senior Technical Coordinator of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Arlene Bennett McLeod; Office of the Accountant Children’s Advocate, Yvette Thomas-Sleem; and Ministry of Labor and Social Security Research Analyst Diana Kellier are the shortlisted nominees in the managerial category.

“The panel had the pleasure of interviewing the nine nominees selected by the Public Service Week Steering Committee; who had the tough task of reviewing over 400 nominations across all categories, a record number of submissions for this year’s awards and proof that our public servants give their best every day and are truly valued by their peers Michelle said. Tracey, Assistant General Manager of Marketing, Communications and Member Experience at FHC. “We look forward to revealing the winners at next week’s awards ceremony on Friday.”

Public Service Week is marked from November 17-23, 2024. The holiday is aimed at highlighting the value and work of outstanding civil servants who have provided excellent service to the country.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award winner ends Wednesday, November 13 at midnight.
