Traffic stop in Center Point leads to drug arrest and seizure of narcotics

A traffic stop led to an arrest after illegal narcotics were found in Center Point on Tuesday.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Trayveon McBride, 26, “Illicit Possession of Marijuana in the First Degree,” “Trafficking in Drugs” and “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia”.

The sheriff’s office said vice and narcotics detectives received a complaint in the Center Point area about narcotics activity.

Detectives conducted an operation near the area of ​​Huffman Road and Center Point Parkway.

The sheriff’s office said a black Honda Accord was pulled over for traffic violations on Center Point Parkway.

McBride was taken into custody and given a total bond of $28,000. The sheriff’s office said he is out on bond.

The sheriff’s office said 5.28 grams of oxycodone, 43 grams of hydrocodone and 29.11 grams of marijuana and a Glock (2.40 caliber) were seized.
