NEAR BRIGHTON, MO (KY3) – Polk County deputies located several dogs dead or in poor health after a raid on the property Friday.

The sheriff’s office received a tip of extreme abuse and neglect of several dogs. Deptuies executed a search warrant at the property north of the Greene County line in the 5600 block of State Highway 13 near Brighton.

Deputies made an arrest in this case. Sheriff Morrison said his “office will not tolerate this type of abuse.”

The Humane Society of Missouri is helping in this case.
