On Nov. 5, the SPD Street Crimes Unit located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of S. 16th St. An investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant.

The felony unit, as well as other officers, executed the warrant without incident, and a search of the home resulted in the recovery of a Glock 20 with automatic switch and a Springfield Armory 9mm. The guns seized in the searches were the same firearms stolen in the Bloomington burglary.

SPD said additional items that were taken during the burglary were also recovered during the search.

Two men were taken into custody. Frank K. Anderson, 23, of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm – no FOID. Bradford L.
