Savannah City Council votes to suspend Octane Bar and Lounge’s liquor license until 2024

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Savannah City Council voted Thursday to suspend Octane Bar and Lounge’s liquor license until the end of the year.

Savannah Police suspended the license back in September due to numerous criminal incidents in the vicinity of the business.

At the beginning of the new year, the unit will need to apply for a renewal. They will also have to meet monthly with the ABC team and have a good neighbor agreement with the Downtown Neighborhood Association.

The facility will also have to have changed hours during a six-month trial period, with these hours being open Sunday to Thursday and closing at midnight and closing at 1am on Friday and Saturday.

They will use licensed police officers with jurisdiction.

The vote of the municipal council was unanimous, one member abstained.
