JACKSONVILLE, NC (WITN) – The Jacksonville Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they search for a man reported missing Wednesday night.

The police department says Derico Sanders II was last seen in the area of ​​the Meadows Gates Apartments off Western Boulevard last night around 8:00 p.m.

Officers say Sanders, who is known to have some intellectual disability, ran away from her caregiver.

The police department says he was last seen wearing a black zip-up jacket with a gray shirt underneath and gray sweatpants.

Officers are asking anyone who sees him or knows where he is to call Jacksonville Public Safety at 910-455-4000.
