On their last episode “New Heights” Podcast.Jason called it “a really stupid situation” that quickly got out of hand.

Jason Kelce prepares to broadcast as part of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” coverage of the Oct. 7 game between the Saints and Chiefs in Kansas City.

Kelce was in State College, Pa., on Saturday for ESPN’s “College GameDay” and interacted with fans when one used a homophobic slur about his brother dating Taylor Swift.

Penn State University Police and Public Safety is investigating the incident.

Kelce admitted his actions went “over the top” as he grabbed the fan’s phone and threw it to the ground. In the video, Kelce could be heard saying, “Who’s the (expletive) now?”

He said repeating the insult was a mistake because it “simply perpetuates more hatred.”

On the podcast, Brother Travis struck a sympathetic tone.

“You reacted in a way that defended the family and you may have used some words that you regret using,” he said. “And that’s a situation you have to learn from and own. I think that you owning it and talking about it shows how true you are to a lot of people in this world… You don’t choose hate, that’s just not who you are, I love you bro, I think you said it perfectly.”
