Theodore man convicted of manslaughter in crash that killed Air Force veteran

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Theodore man has been found guilty of manslaughter in the 2021 death of a U.S. Air Force veteran, the Mobile County District Attorney’s office announced Wednesday.

According to court documents, Eric Timko was driving recklessly on Schillinger Road in the early morning hours of October 28, 2021. His GMC pickup veered across multiple lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Justin Bolton, killing Bolton.

Bolton, a veteran Air Force sergeant, was on his way to work at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.

Court testimony showed that prior to the fatal crash, several 911 calls were made reporting a vehicle driving recklessly.

Sentencing for Timko, 33, is scheduled for Dec. 11.
