Dancing with the stars alum Artem Tsygvintsev claims his potential earnings have been affected by his recent arrest for domestic violence.

“It’s not true that I haven’t been able to find another job as a dancer. I normally start work in November and it takes 20 weekends,” Chigvintsev, 42, said in recent court documents obtained by Daily Mail. “After being photographed and arrested based on her false accusations, I was removed from the faculty list on the website, resulting in over $100,000 in lost revenue.”

In August news broke that Tsigvintsev had been arrested following an alleged altercation with his now estranged wife Nikki Garcia. Chigvintsev was released on bail on the same day, a month before a judge dinclined to charge professional Russian dance.

Since the arrest, Chigvintsev and Garcia, 40, have each filed for divorce. (The former fighter is seeking full custody of their 4-year-old son, Matteo, while Chigvintsev asked for joint custody.)

In Chigvintsev’s most recent court documents filed in Napa County on Oct. 31, he is asking Garcia to cover his lost earnings, rent on his home and a portion of his legal fees. (Chigvintsev was left out of the current broadcast DWTS season 33 roster before his arrest.)

Garcia has not publicly addressed Chigvintsev’s latest allegations, but previously claimed he was the abuser in their marriage. She had been granted a restraining order against Chigvintsev in September after she claimed he once “violently grabbed” her waist during an altercation.
