LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man who police pulled over for speeding on the Watterson Freeway was arrested 10 days later on multiple drug-trafficking charges.

Louisville Metro Police arrested Na’aman Coleman, 42, of Louisville on October 22nd.

According to court documents, on Oct. 12, Coleman was cited for going 83 mph in a 55 mph zone. Ten days later, detectives served a search warrant at Coleman’s home in connection with a narcotics investigation. The citations say Coleman was the primary target of the investigation.

During a search of the home, police found approximately three kilograms of methamphetamine, more than two kilograms of marijuana, over three ounces of what they believe to be powder cocaine, and over 20 doses of alprazolam. Police also discovered a large amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.

During the search, 10 handguns were also found, some of which were loaded with restricted ammunition. One of the guns had been reported stolen from Jennings County, Indiana. Coleman, who is a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms.

LMPD detectives say Coleman’s home was less than 300 yards from a school.

Coleman was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on three counts of aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of aggravated trafficking in marijuana, use of restricted ammunition during a felony, receiving a stolen firearm and trafficking in a controlled substance at 1,000 meters from a school.
