Jon Stewart: Election results aren’t everything

Jon Stewart’s host of “The Daily Show.” special episode from election night argued that the outcome of the election does not determine everything.

“Here’s what we know, is that we don’t really know anything, and we’re going to come out of this election and we’re going to make all kinds of statements about what this country is and what this world is, and the truth is, we’re not going to really know that… Stewart argued.

Vice President Harris and former President Trump face off in Tuesday night’s presidential election, with ballots still being counted early Wednesday.

Stewart argued that if Trump wins, it will seem like “the end of our civilization,” but in reality, Americans will “wake up tomorrow” and have to “work like hell to move the world to where we prefer it to be.” .”

Stewart showed clips from former President Obama’s 2008 race and more recent presidential cycles.

“My point is this,” Stewart said, before a protracted bout of profanity.

“But, this is not the end. I promise you. This is not the end and we must regroup and we must continue to fight and work day by day to create a better society for our children, for this world, for this country that we saw was possible.” he said.
