Amarillo Police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash at I-40 and Bell

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Amarillo Police Department has identified the victim of fatal accident with a motorcycle near I-40 and Bell on Nov. 4.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of ​​the crash around 6 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a black 2009 Kawasaki sport motorcycle and a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup.

The motorcycle was headed south on Bell Street, crossing the southbound carriageway of I-40.

The truck was eastbound on southbound I-40 crossing Bell Street.

Officials say the pickup struck the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Landon McGinnis, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Dodge truck was not injured.

The Potter County Judge responded to the scene and ordered an autopsy.

This accident is being investigated by the Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Team.
