CTrain hits pedestrian in downtown Calgary

A pedestrian was struck by a CTrain in downtown Calgary Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. The road was closed at Third Street and Seventh Avenue SE near City Hall/Bow Valley College Station where the collision occurred.

The person was taken to the hospital, but police did not know his condition.

The traffic unit is investigating the collision.

In a social media post, Calgary Transit said all stations along Seventh Avenue will be closed. Buses will be set up to transport passengers from those stations.

CTrains red and blue lines are running late.
