Diddy’s lawyers react to the explosive witness testimony everyone is talking about

Just a few days ago, a grand jury witness testified to some damning information about The Federal Sex Trafficking Case of Sean “Diddy” Combs. Despite the fact that the witness swore to testify truthfully, Combs’ lawyers claim that his statements were nothing but lies.

Courtney Burgess has been called as a court witness to testify before a grand jury on Thursday, November 1st. During his testimony, he claimed to own eight of the Combs’ alleged sex tapes. In the tapes, Burgess claims there are eight celebrities – two women and six men – who participated in sexual acts. Burgess testified that two or three of the individuals appeared to be minors. He said they all seemed to be under the influence as well characterized them as victims.

He also claimed that Combs’ ex-wife, Kim Porter, handed him 11 flash drives to keep before her sudden death in 2018.

The testimony was the result of Burgess being contacted by Department of Homeland Security agents and placed under subpoena, he said. NewsNation. According to TMZthe subpoena also ordered him to turn over any footage he had of Combs.

The claims of these sex tapes come after lawyer Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, who is representing Burgess, said NewsNation last month she was informed an auction between media outlets of a sex tape supposedly includes Combs and a minor celebrity. The claims also come after Combs’ lawyers made several additions in court accusing DHS agents of leaking information about Combs’ case to the media and request that they be placed on a gag order.

Here’s what they had to say in response to Burgess’ statements:

These stories quickly spread through the media and created the impression that such videos exist, which is false, and that the government actually credits their sensational claims, which is deeply damaging. While the witness and his lawyer eagerly spread false and uncontrolled claims in the media, they avoided subjecting their claims to verification through the legal process. For example, the witness and his attorney admitted that he resisted complying with the grand jury subpoena and only appeared after the marshals tracked him down.

And when asked directly if they have the videos to back up their outlandish claims, the lawyer replied: “that’s what we’re going to do now. So we have a hearing now to determine what we’re going to do in terms of what documents we’re going to have to turn over and what documents we’re not going to turn over.” By treating these ridiculous claims as anything other than a pathetic extortion scheme, the government is fueling the fire of online conspiracy theories and making it impossible for Mr. Combs to have a fair trial.

Monday, September 16, the 54-year-old rap mogul was arrested in Manhattan by federal authorities six months after they raided his two homes in Los Angeles and Miami. His indictment was opened the next morning, revealing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution. The charges against Combs include sexual abuse, physical abuse, bribery, and various drug-related crimes.

The most notable claims come from his the so-called “broken” sex parties.where prosecutors allege that women and men were drugged and forced to have sex at Combs’ pleasure. He was also accused of using video footage to blackmail victims into compliance.

While many of the 2023 lawsuits have been civil, this federal case has Combs facing criminal charges. He pleaded not guilty and was denied bail. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.
