CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The UTC Police Department (UTCPD) received a report of an alleged aggravated assault on November 2, 2024.

UTCPD reported that this incident started off campus but ended in the UTC #62 parking lot.

The report came from a non-student female who stated that she got into an unknown male’s vehicle near the 1600 block of East 3rd Street.

While in the vehicle, the victim said the suspect choked her, stole her backpack and groped her.

She described the suspect as an African-American man in his 20s with bushy eyebrows, a thin mustache, a beard and a tattoo on his hand and neck.

UTCPD also described the suspect vehicle as a Tan Nissan SUV with a temporary tag.
