Liverpool news: ‘I will be ready for the next game’ – Ibrahima Konate

Ibrahima Konate gave a positive update on the injury that forced him off at half-time in the 2-1 win over Brighton at Anfield.

In a post on social media, the centre-back confirmed the arm knock was “not serious”, despite being withdrawn from the game at the interval and replaced by Joe Gomez.

Konate wrote: “Thanks for all the messages of support. Fortunately, my injury is not serious.

“I did a scan and it confirmed that there is no break. I will be ready for the next game.”

The France international has been a permanent fixture in manager Arne Slot’s side, appearing in all of Liverpool’s Premier League games so far this season since being introduced at half-time on the opening day.
