The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R has been revealed ahead of its EICMA debut

The KTM 390 ADV will be officially unveiled at EICMA 2024

Yes, the new generation KTM 390 Adventure R has been leaked from its EICMA pavilion ahead of its official debut. And the first images of the new adventure motorcycle made us crazy. The bike has a brand new design language that hints at the larger KTM 890 ADV. The front sees a tall, Dakar Rally-like windshield along with an inverted U-shaped DRL. Then you have the vertically stacked headlights and a tall front mudguard that complements the 21-inch spoked rim wrapped in knobby rubber. The bike is supported by a steel trellis frame and the rear section appears to be heavily raked, similar to the bigger KTM.

The KTM 390 Adventure R will feature a 21-inch and 18-inch spoked wheel setup. The bike will also get adjustable suspension with 230mm of travel, suggesting strong off-road capabilities. The seat will be tall at 885mm, higher than that of Royal Enfield Himalayan and Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro. Cornering ABS and traction control, which can be disabled, will also be available. The engine will have a 6-speed gearbox with a quick shifter. In terms of features, the bike is likely to get a color TFT display with electronic aids and electronic aids like switchable ABS, switchable traction control and Bluetooth connectivity.

The motor is protected by a solid-looking metal plate. What we can’t wrap our heads around is that the 390 ADV R has a sort of underbelly exhaust that sits pretty close to the ground. Adventure bikes usually have an uphill exhaust, but maybe we could see one on the actual production bike.

More details on the new generation KTM 390 ADV will be revealed at EICMA 2024.
