SOUTHINGTON, CT (WFSB) – Police in Southington are investigating after an armed robbery Sunday morning.

Police say around 10:15 a.m. units responded to the incident at a FLEET gas station.

The male suspect was described as a black male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

He demanded money from the clerk while holding a handgun. The clerk handed him an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Police K-9’s attempted to track down the suspect but were unsuccessful.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is active.
