HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Maui residents witnessed a scary scene in Wailuku when an SUV plowed into the front of a Blazin Steaks restaurant Friday afternoon, according to Maui Police.

Officials said the incident happened on Eha Street around 2:30 p.m

The restaurant owners told us the driver said he accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.

The car was removed and the restaurant was able to stay open.

No word on any injuries.
