Bryce Young claims he wasn’t frustrated by Dave Canales’ play

sometimes on sunday Carolina Panthers Head coach Dave Canales’ call appeared to be questionable. Despite that, the Panthers got a much-needed win, and Bryce Young said afterward that he had no problem with the calls, even though it looked like he did at one point during the second half. Young started for the second straight week and earned his third career win.

Dave Canales’ play has been questionable at times this season. It’s only his second season calling the plays after a quick rise through the coaching ranks, but it happened. That remained true in certain situations Sunday, but Panthers QB Bryce Young had no complaints.

“There’s been no frustration about anything in particular. I’m ready to go there and every drive we don’t score, obviously I’m frustrated by that… I have a lot of respect for Coach Canales He knows exactly what he’s doing… None frustration with that, it’s just that they’re all competitors.

There was a moment in the second half when Young appeared to express some frustration on the sideline, but the QB made it clear that he was just disappointed in the offense’s inability to move the ball and score right up front.

Young, combined with the play of Canales, led the Panthers down the field in just over a minute to score and take the lead on Chuba Hubbard’s second touchdown of the game. After forcing a turnover on downs, Canales only had to call QB Kneel twice.
