One dead in Dothan chase, wreck

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – An early morning pursuit in Dothan has left one dead, according to law enforcement sources.

Law enforcement received a call about a possible stolen vehicle early Sunday morning near Ross Clark Circle.

They attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled, leading law enforcement on a chase.

The pursuit ended when the driver left the road and crashed, killing the driver.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd confirmed the death to News4. The victim’s name will be released once next of kin have been notified.
