Suspected victims of human trafficking rescued from the apartment

Two women, believed to be victims of human trafficking, have been rescued from a property in south Belfast.

They were found following a search of a flat in the Annadale Embankment area of ​​the city on Friday night.

Two men, aged 42 and 41, and a 39-year-old woman, who were arrested during the police operation, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

They were tried for a number of crimes, including running brothels and controlling prostitution.

During a subsequent search of a property in the Newtownards Road area, three suspected firearms were recovered.
