FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Open

BAMBERG – While many Bamberg County residents are still reeling from this year’s tumultuous activity, the Bamberg County Division of Emergency Management has partnered with FEMA to open a Disaster Recovery Center at the Bamberg County Library. RDC will operate from 8:00am on Tuesday 5th November until close of business on Monday 11th November.

FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers are temporary offices that provide support to affected areas and communities after natural disasters. FEMA representatives will be on site to answer questions and assist citizens with the application and filing process. Other disaster support partners, such as the Small Business Administration and the Red Cross, may also be on hand to provide helpful information.

Disaster recovery centers will also open in Kershaw and Laurens counties to provide in-person assistance to South Carolinians affected by Hurricane Helene.
