Another front will approach the SWLA on Tuesday and increase the chance of more rain. Better coverage of showers and possibly some thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday. So you’ll want to keep your umbrella handy then. This front doesn’t seem to be fully moving, though, so don’t expect much cooling behind it. Rain chances then look a little lower on Wednesday and even higher through Thursday.

Our main focus is on the southern Caribbean. A broad area of low pressure has a good chance of developing next week. It is likely to head north towards Jamaica and then northwest as high pressure builds over it. That means yes, whatever it is, it could hit the southern Gulf next week. Beyond that, it’s hard to tell how much power it gains and where it ends up. And conditions in the northern Gulf are likely to be more hostile late next week. So it’s not something we’re too concerned about, but we’ll keep a close eye on it anyway. For more details, go to: https://www.kplctv.com/weather/hurricane/
