Jason Kelce hacked fans’ phones after they called brother Travis a homophobic slur

Jason Kelce hacked a Penn State football fan’s phone after the apparent hack called his brother, Travis Kelcea homophobic slur.

In now viral images shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Nov. 2, the retired Philadelphia Eagles star β€” who was outside Beaver Stadium in State College, Pa., for the Penn State-Ohio State game β€” could be seen walking as football fans surrounded him.

As the videographer raised his fist at Jason, 36, and called out his name for a punch, another man nearby yelled the homophobic slur at the retired Philadelphia Eagles star.

β€œHey Kelce. How does your brother feel about dating a bastard Taylor Swift?” the man asked, using the slur to refer to Travis, who has been dating Swift, 34, since 2023.

Seconds later, Jason returned, grabbed the man’s phone from his hands, and smashed it to the ground.

“Looked like a Penn State student walking in on Kelce for no reason,” the original user X who posted the clip captioned it. “Wild Scene in State College.”

Additional footage circulate on X showed a closer angle of Jason smashing the phone on the tarmac, before picking it up and walking away. The owner of the phone, who was wearing a Penn State hoodie at the time of the incident, could be seen in several clips walking close behind and apparently recording Jason before the altercation.

Another scene distributed on Xwhich was apparently filmed after Jason smashed the man’s phone, showed the hooded Penn State fan wading through a crowd to pick up his phone off the ground. “Give me the phone, bro,” he apparently told Jason.

The NFL alum, who first grabbed the device, then stood in front of the man and said, “Who’s the bastard now?” as other people seemed to intervene.

The incident occurred when Jason was in attendance at Beaver Stadium for an appearance on ESPN College game day. The Ohio State Buckeyes won Saturday’s game, defeating the Nittany Lions 20-13.

PEOPLE reached out to a representative for both Jason and ESPN, but did not immediately hear back.
