Volunteer bakers to help with Penticton’s annual ALERT Cookie Walk fundraiser – Penticton News

Call for volunteer bakers

It’s time to grab some sugar, spices, and your favorite holiday cookie recipe to help the Lifeline Animal Emergency Response Team Society.

ALERT is gearing up for its 20th annual “Cookie Walk” fundraiser in Penticton.

The organization is looking for helping hands to bake and donate festive cookies and bars to sell.

The fundraiser takes place at the Penticton Lakeside Resort on Dec. 7, with attendees invited to bring their own containers and mix and match as many donated goodies as they like for $12 per pound.

All money raised goes towards animal care when people are evacuated.

ALERT is run entirely by volunteers and supported by donors, working with emergency officials to enter evacuation areas to care for animals in need.

Those interested in baking cookies are asked to contact Daryl by email (email protected) for more information.
