11 people indicted for drug trafficking; i wanted

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Eleven individuals are now facing multiple drug trafficking charges after an indictment was unsealed.

According to the Southern District of Georgia, the defendants allegedly conspired to distribute large quantities of illegal drugs.

All defendants face one count of Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, oxycodone and marijuana. The charge carries a sentence of up to life in prison. It also has substantial financial penalties.

According to the indictment, a drug trafficking conspiracy was taking place throughout Bulloch, Chatham and Liberty counties. Several law enforcement agencies, coordinated through the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), worked to identify key members of the conspiracy. They then carried out house, vehicle and “trap house” searches. During these searches, large quantities of drugs along with 11 firearms.

“This drug trafficking investigation required significant coordination by multiple federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to identify and disrupt the conspiracy,” said U.S. Attorney Steinberg. “We commend the hard work of our law enforcement partners in protecting our community.”

Ten of the defendants were charged in the indictment. A defendant is a fugitive.

Those charged with conspiracy are:

  • William Johnson36, of Hinesville, Ga.;

  • Keannon Wyckoff41, of Statesboro;

  • Thomas Blagmon40, of Hinesville;

  • James Blagmon41, of Allenhurst, Ga.;

  • Eric Collins53, of Statesboro;

  • Christopher Grant36, of Hinesville;

  • Anthony Byrd39, of Midway, Ga.;

  • Dederick Bryant45, of Ludowici, Ga.;

  • Jacob Robinson48, of Hinesville; and,

  • Irma Wyckoff60, of Hinesville.

It is also charged Israel Grant, 42, of Claxton, Georgia, who is wanted by police. Anyone with information is asked to call the Drug Enforcement Administration Savannah Resident Office at 912-210-2944.

In addition to the conspiracy charge, several defendants also face other charges of drug possession and distribution, illegal possession of firearms and maintaining drug premises.
