Aaron Rodgers mocks celebrities for political endorsements ‘bought and paid for by China’ ahead of election

Aaron Rodgers has savaged celebrities who have pledged political support after claiming they were “bought and paid for by China”.

The race for the White House is finally drawing to a close, with America set to decide between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris for the presidency on Tuesday.

In the months leading up to the election, each candidate received public support from several high-profile figures who endorsed them with strong political statements, either on social media or at rallies and conventions.

Harris has the support of Taylor Swift, LeBron James and Robert Downey Jr, while Elon Musk, Hulk Hogan and Mike Tyson all indicated they would vote for Trump on Tuesday.

During his last appearance on The Pat McAfee ShowRodgers revealed that he has registered to vote in New Jersey, despite not confirming which candidate he will vote for.

And while he jokingly refers to the election as the “trade deadline” — given that it’s the same day the NFL trade window closes — the New York Jets quarterback mocked the celebrities who have come out in support on social networks.

“If you don’t know what to do at the trade deadline, ask your favorite celebrity,” he said. “My favorite is when the celebrity is bought and paid for by China.”

Rodgers continued to criticize the current Biden-Harris administration for its decision to send billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine, in a strong indication of how he will vote on Tuesday.

“I don’t have a problem with Ukraine at all, I just think there are a lot of problems in the United States that $180 billion could help with instead of fighting a proxy war,” the four-time MVP continued NFL.

“You know, like natural disasters, and there’s FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) confiscating water bottles and food from people who are trying to help, like, maybe, let’s help these people.

“And obviously FEMA doesn’t have the best record when you go back to 2005 and Katrina, but I think there’s a lot of problems in the states and there are people who are hurting could use more than $600, $700. “

LeBron James became the latest sports figure to throw his support behind Harris on Wednesday, with the basketball legend sharing a controversial anti-Trump video on Instagram.

He captioned the post: “What are we talking about here? When I think about my children and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!’

The video shared by LeBron includes comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who was invited to speak at a recent Trump rally, making a racist remark about him and a black friend “stopping watermelons together,” as well as Trump stating in an old interview that “maybe hate is what we need”.

It also includes aggressive soundbites of the Republican leader played over decades of footage of civil rights protests and abuses.

However, LeBron is now facing a backlash over his endorsement of Harris and the attack on Trump, which fans claim was “cobbled together.”

One user posted in the comments section: “From your biggest fan, stringing together a bunch of unrelated sound bites with these racially charged videos is sad propaganda and embarrassing work. You should be ashamed of yourself.

“There is so much real content you could have posted to get your message across that there was no need to invent this narrative. I’m ashamed my goat posted this.

Another commented: “King, this was all taken out of context.”

“No, it’s not,” a third replied to James. “Taking speeches out of context and placing them next to racist historical events is classic Democrat move.”
