Question: My vehicle is equipped with airbags. Do I have to wear my seat belt?

Answer: Yes, it is necessary to wear a seat belt. An airbag is an additional restraint system. Airbags work with seat belts to prevent injury, but are not designed to prevent occupants from being ejected. For safety reasons, children under 13 must travel in the back seat if available.

Try to keep at least 10 inches between you. and steering wheel. Keep your hands in the 8 and 4 or 9 and 3 positions on the steering wheel.

Move the front passenger seats as far back as possible. Read the owner’s manual before driving or riding in a vehicle with airbags.
