Pleasant, rainy weather fills the weekend

SAGINAW, Michigan (WNEM) – Being behind Thursday’s cold front, the First Alert forecast is more seasonal for early November. This month we’re looking for more rain after dry weeks and temperatures that actually feel like fall. If you want to see how October ranked in the record books, we’ve got the data for you Here.

tonight – The clouds have been stubborn, but are starting to break up this evening. Finally, skies will clear overnight, allowing temperatures to drop. Evening plans will be in the 40s for temperatures, but lows will be in the 30s for the Tri-Cities, Thumb and Genesee County. 20 are possible along US-127 and our northern counties.

Winds will eventually decrease to around 5 mph out of the northwest. There is a chance of frost in the morning, so give yourself an extra minute if you have early morning plans.

saturday – Skies are clear to start the weekend which will lead to plenty of sunshine. Around noon, the cirrus clouds slide in and allow the sun, but it will be more filtered.

Mostly sunny skies Saturday with a few high, thin clouds.

Temperatures have gotten a little cooler, so we have highs in the 50s on Saturday. The wind will blow weakly.

sunday – Whatever the sun is to start the day, it won’t last long. Clouds are moving in ahead of a system that brings rain over the weekend. High pressure slides to the east as the next system moves in. With the two systems interacting with each other, the timing of Sunday’s rain has low confidence. Rain is expected to arrive in the second half of the day. Depending on the data you look at, the rain could come during the day or after bedtime. Stay up to date with the calendar TV5 First Alert Weather app.

Temperatures will be in the mid-50s with southeast winds around 10-15 mph and gusts as high as 20 mph. Wind speed increases between the two weather systems mentioned above.

More rain is coming early next week and could help us catch up from the dry conditions we’ve had lately. Check it out 7 day forecast for a preview of next week.
